Monsieur Bottes started with a linocut I made of an alligator wearing four little boots. He seemed like a gentleman with somewhere to be, so I gave him a restaurant of his own. This self-initiated identity pairs Louisiana-inspired food and cocktails with elegant typography, earthy colors, and hand-drawn bayou illustrations. His peculiar charm carries through the menus, signage, and little details guests take home.
